 Marketing Workshop - Orlando
Are you using Free Marketing? That was one of the hot topics of discussion at The Premier Companies Marketing Workshop held this week at the Gaylord Palms in Orlando. The Marketing Workshop was the first of two to be held this year. It was hosted by the Premier Rental-Purchase Marketing Board and the Premier Executive team. The workshop is designed to help dealers learn more about how to better market their business and generate greater sales and revenues. Nancy Price, The Premier Companies Director of Marketing, was the workshop moderator. "Attendees were sent pre-workshop questionnaires and were asked to come prepared with their marketing plan from the past 3-6 months. We also asked which media they planned to use to promote their store and what their budgets were going to be for the upcoming 2nd and 3rd quarters," said Nancy. The information they brought was used throughout the day for discussion and to encourage them to take a closer look at the types of marketing they have been doing.
The workshop began Tuesday evening and ran through Wednesday. The workshop consisted of discussions on "Fundamentals of Marketing", "Where Have You Been?", "Where Do You Want to Go?" and "How Will you Get There?". Nancy walked the attendees through a series of exercises that were designed to help dealers answer important questions about their business, community, and targeted customers which was used to assist them with building their marketing plan.

Scott Kinnear, Premier Rental-Purchase dealer in Dayton Ohio and Marketing Board Chairman, presented his peers with the "ins and outs" of Social Media. Scott encouraged his captive audience to "Make sure that your message is direct and consistent. There is a lot of marketing opportunities online. Be patient, focused and be aware of technology changes."

Improvements to The Premier Companies marketing website was released during the workshop. The marketing site is completely automated with advertising upload features for marketing vendors, an advertising approval system, online marketing planner, as well as online tracking capabilities for dealers to compare the number of new customers with the dates of their advertising campaigns. They can also view an online geographical map pinpointing where their customers live. This is a useful tool for their Direct Marketing efforts.

Trooper Earle, President and CEO of The Premier Companies, believes that his franchisees are his partners. He is proud to offer the tools and support services to his dealers. "Technology is continually evolving and we will continue to evolve with it by updating our online systems, which will provide a greater value to our dealers. The marketing website is to provide dealers information so that they can maximize their marketing dollars when building their marketing plan," said Trooper.

The Premier Companies will host their next Marketing Workshop in August following the next Nationwide Buying Show.
